dear all,

last saturday afternoon fretzie, elmer and i

went to brgy tatalon for a visit and take some

pictures of the place. ptr jinny and bro joel of

tatalon showed us around. the proposed

venue (brgy. covered court) was filled with

young people playing basketball and all sorts

of games to entertain their weekend. we also

had a short meeting at bro joel's house.

fretzie will upload the pictures we have

taken last saturday.

at 9pm a meeting among the moderators and

some members followed. it was quite

productive in terms of defining some directions

for the medical mission at brgy tatalon

on april 23, 2005. present was jaypzs, kuya

benjie,

fretize, luis, jojo, elmer, thess,

ptr. jinny and myself.

here are some of the details we resolved:

1. we will only be focusing on two major

services during the mission day, the MEDICAL

and MINOR SURGICAL (tule). this is in

consideration that most of us are still neophytes

in this ministry. the MMI may be an established

medical mission institution, but since

BK will be the forerunner of the activity, we will

consider our limitations. the medical

mission at cosmo church has been postponed

to march. i would suggest that those

who have time may please attend the activity for

exposure. i will post the exact date later.

2. there will be a pre-registration especially for

minor surgical so that we will know exactly

how many cases will be treated on april 23.

this will guide us on the supplies that we

may need to buy. our traget number of patients

for the entire activity is 150. we allocate

50 for the minor surgical and 100 for the medical.

bro jojo stressed the need for pre-registration

so that we will have control of the patients

especially during the day of the mission. it was

resolved that the "kapatiran" in brgy tatalon c/o

ptry jinny will do the pre-registration giving

priority to the attendees of their care group and

their contacts. this will simplify the

identification of the patients.

3. i have sent through fax letters of solicitation to

13 pharmaceutical companies. fretzie

will do the follow-up and luis will pick up the

medicines.

4. evangelism will be taken cared of by bro jojo.

the traffic of the activities will be discussed

later because we will have two sets of patients,

children (for tule) and adults (for medical

consultation). we consulted ptr bing, the pastor

for missions of cosmo church. she suggested

that tule patients should have some relaxing

sessions like story telling before they are ushered

into the cubicle for their turn. those sessions will

be the evangelism portion of the mission. for

the medical consultation, she added that prayer

evangelism is best suited for the activity in

order to avoid vaccum of patients for the physicians.

we will be consulting ptr bing from time

to time because she has rich experience on

medical missions.
